FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What film, television, stage and radio/audio productions has Damian performed in? [
show answer]
A: Damian has performed in more than 100 projects so far -- certainly too many to list on this FAQ page. Visit the Performance Guide for information about his many varied performances.
Q: Which of Damian's projects are available for purchase on DVD or CD? [
show answer]
A: Visit the individual performance details pages, accessible through the Performance Guide page of this site for information about releases on DVD, CD and more. Although you cannot purchase items directly from this site, you will find information that will help you when you visit your favorite online or local retailers. (Note: Some items that have been released previously might no longer be available for retail purchase. In those cases, you may want to try second-hand shops and sites, as well as auction sites.) When purchasing DVDs, be mindful of video formats and region codes; when purchasing VHS tapes, be mindful of video formats. Visit the Video Geography 101 page for information.
Q: What projects of Damian's can we look forward to in the future? [
show answer]
A: Damian's Dominion makes it easy to keep tabs on Damian's latest projects in several ways. First, new forthcoming projects are always announced on the News page as soon as possible. Second, the "Coming & Current Attractions" section of the Damian's Dominion home page features a list of new and upcoming projects with links to production information, release dates and project news. Third, the project and any information known about it will be added to the Performance Guide. Fourth, the project will be listed on the Upcoming Events page. Finally, when a US or UK release or presentation date is known for a project, you'll see a countdown of the number of days until the event in the scrolling ticker at the top of "The Latest" section on the Damian's Dominion home page.
Q: Why do some future film and television projects in which Damian is either rumored/proposed to be cast or is definitely cast go on indefinite hold, get recast or sometimes never get made?[
show answer]
A: The process of taking a film or television project from the initial idea stage to completion is long (often taking up to two years or longer) and complex, with numerous negotiations (creative and business) between the many parties involved, such as writers, producers, directors, actors, studios, distributors, financial backers and more. Often, a project may need to have some actors "attached" in order for the project to get the "green light" from a studio to develop and produce the project, some actor "attachments" may be needed to get a commitment from a financial backer or distributor. Sometimes, a producer desperate to get approval from a studio, backer or distributior may jump the gun claim that an actor is "attached" to a project simply because the script has been sent to the actor's agent and the agent hasn't sent it back yet. In reality, in many of these cases, the actor may not actually have said "yes" or "no" to the project yet. In some cases, the press gets wind of the so-called attachment and writes about it as if it's a done deal. In truth, deals aren't officially done -- formal contracts for the actors negotiated and signed -- until a bit later in the process, typically after the project is fully funded and a production schedule is developed. Sometimes, an actor may have to bow out of a project due to a scheduling conflict with another project he or she is already contractually committed to. Sometimes, casting choices are changed for other reasons. In addition, sometimes a project fails to get full funding or a distribution deal, so its production is delayed (until the necessary funding can be acquired or distributors can be secured) or it is cancelled entirely. Projects also can be delayed or scrapped for a variety of other reasons, such as: the inability to secure critical filming locations; the inability to meet budget constraints; creative differences/conflicts between the director, writer(s), cast and/or producer(s); or a loss of relevance or marketability (such as a if a project's subject that once was a very timely no longer is timely because of delays getting to production, or if a similar project has been made by someone else in the interim). Generally, although there is often plenty of publicity announcing the initiation or forward movement of a project, there is rarely any announcement of a project being delayed or scrapped. Sometimes, a project may go on hold for a long period and then suddenly move forward. Or the press may publish reports that a project is about to resume -- whether it really is or not. Conflicting reports about casting may surface as well. It can all be very confusing -- and sometimes maddening! But this site's approach is to maintain optimism and keep all projects, including rumored and tentative ones, listed on the site (in the "Coming & Current Attractions" section of the Damian's Dominion home page, in the Performance Guide and elsewhere) until/unless some definitive news -- one way or the other -- surfaces. Q: If I sign up to receive e-mail alerts, how often should I expect to receive alerts? [
show answer]
A: Very rarely, because this service is generally used to send notifications about something very timely and urgent, such as a newly discovered TV guest-appearance taking place in less than 24 hours. A: No. Some people may say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Please be aware that those sites have no affiliation with, and are neither endorsed nor authorized by, the original Damian's Dominion or its owner/creator Ann (damiandreamer).

Q: Why are the
Damian Digest and
What Others Say pages no longer updated? [
show answer]
A: Both pages are no longer updated because they are rather time-consuming to maintain (far more than you might imagine), especially in recent years with the significant increase in the frequency of interviews with Damian as well as praise from critics and others in the industry. And although those two pages are arguably nice features, the quotations in them can all be found among the (several hundreds of) articles that are linked on the site through the Article Portal and individual Performance pages. Therefore, updating the Damian Digest and What Others Say pages has been deemed somewhat of a redundancy, and those pages are no longer updated to allow more time for updating and maintaining other components of the site. However, the quotations previously posted on those pages remains archived there for you to read and enjoy.
