About Gareth's Gateway

About this site's creator

I am Ann. This site may almost appear as if it is my full-time occupation, but it's not. I have a well-established, full-time career.

I've never had any training in Web design or programming languages such as HTML or JavaScript. I'm totally self-taught, and much of my skill has developed over the time since I started developing this site. That's been an added benefit for me, as I love being able to flex my creative muscles, to learn new skills and to explore computer technology. (Should I switch to a career in Web design? The thought has crossed my mind lately. ...)

Okay, I won't bore you with hoards of details about me and my background. Besides, one has to be careful about offering up too much personal information on the Internet. So on that note, I'll shift the focus to Gareth. ...

My introduction to Gareth Lewis

I owe my introduction to Gareth Lewis to his brother, Damian Lewis. I took an interest in Damian and his work in spring 2004, and I subsequently launched Damian's Dominion in August of that year. (You can read more about the history of that site on the About Damian's Dominion page.) As the two brothers began working together on the film <>The Baker<>, I took an interest in Gareth and his work -- and am very glad I did. He is a phenomenal writer-director!

How this site began

For me, it was only a natural transition for the labor of love that began with Damian's Dominion to expand into the creation of Gareth's Gateway. This site was launched on April 19, 2006. Every moment I work on it is a moment of pleasure. Also, it is exciting to me that, through this site, I may be able to play some small part in broadening the world's observation of, and recognition of, Gareth Lewis and his remarkable talents. It is indeed an honor, privilege and pleasure to do whatever I may do to help more people discover the enjoyment and enrichment that Gareth and his work may bring to their lives -- as he has to mine.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, Gareth, for all you do, for who you are, and for what's yet to come. I truly wish you all the best in your life and your career that the world can offer.

And if by chance you ever seek to set up an official Web site, please keep me in mind. I'd be thrilled and honored to work on it in any capacity at all and on any terms at all. For that matter, if there is ever anything that I and your fans in general can ever do for you, just say the word and consider it done. I -- indeed all of us -- are there for you.

Yours Truly,
Ann
