Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What film and television productions has Gareth worked on? [
show answer]
A: Gareth has worked on several projects. Visit the Filmography section for information about each of them.
Q: Which of Gareth's projects are available for purchase on DVD? [
show answer]
A: Visit the Shopping Guide page of this site for information about previous, current and upcoming releases. Although you cannot purchase items directly from this site, you will find information that will help you when you visit your favorite online or local retailers. (Note: Some items that have been released previously might no longer be available for retail purchase. In those cases, you may want to try second-hand shops and sites, as well as auction sites.) When purchasing DVDs, be mindful of video formats and region codes; when purchasing VHS tapes, be mindful of video formats. Visit the Video Geography 101 page for information.
Q: What projects of Gareth's can we look forward to in the future? [
show answer]
A: Gareth's Gateway makes it easy to keep tabs on Gareth's latest projects in several ways. First, new forthcoming projects are always announced on the News page as soon as possible. Second, the "Coming & Current Attractions" section of the Gareth's Gateway home page features a list of new and upcoming projects with links to production information, release dates and project news. Third, the project and any information known about it will be added to the Filmography section. Fourth, the project will be listed on the Upcoming Events page. Finally, when a US or UK release or presentation date is known for a project, you'll see a countdown of the number of days until the event in the scrolling ticker at the top of "The Latest" section on the Gareth's Gateway home page.
Q: Why do some future film and television projects in which Gareth is either rumored/proposed to be involved or is definitely involved go on indefinite hold, go to someone else or sometimes never get made? [
show answer]
A: The process of taking a film or television project from the initial idea stage to completion is long (often taking up to two years or longer) and complex, with numerous negotiations (creative and business) between the many parties involved, such as writers, producers, directors, actors, studios, distributors, financial backers and more. Sometimes a project fails to get studio backing, full funding or a distribution deal, so its production is delayed (until a studio commits to it, or the necessary funding can be acquired, or distributors can be secured) or it is cancelled entirely. Projects also can be delayed or scrapped for a variety of other reasons, such as: the inability to secure critical filming locations; the inability to meet budget constraints; creative differences/conflicts between the director, writer(s), cast and/or producer(s); or a loss of relevance or marketability (such as a if a project's subject that once was a very timely no longer is timely because of delays getting to production, or if a similar project has been made by someone else in the interim). Generally, although there is often plenty of publicity announcing the initiation or forward movement of a project, there is rarely any announcement of a project being delayed or scrapped. Sometimes, a project may go on hold for a long period and then suddenly move forward. Or the press may publish reports that a project is about to resume -- whether it really is or not. It can all be very confusing -- and sometimes maddening! But this site's approach is to maintain optimism and keep all projects, including rumored and tentative ones, listed on the site (in the "Coming & Current Attractions" section of the Gareth's Gateway home page, in the Filmography section and elsewhere) until/unless some definitive news -- one way or the other -- surfaces. Q: Where can I find out about upcoming film and DVD release dates, television broadcast dates, festivals, award ceremonies, scheduled appearances at red-carpet and charitable events, and so forth? [
show answer]

This page primarily includes information and dates for releases, presentation and events in the US and UK, and it includes information and dates for other countries when known. Please remember that release dates and presentation dates are subject to change. Also, plans for scheduled appearances at events are subject to change as well.
Q: I have missed some of Gareth's productions, and I want to catch up. But I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions? [
