February 29, 2008: @#$%! film critics
I've read a few reviews of The Baker from some of the major UK newspapers this morning. Suffice it to say I will neither quote their rubbish nor mention their names. ... I don't know what these reviewers' problems are. I have the Hungarian DVD of this film, and I love it. (And I look forward to receiving the UK edition of the DVD, with all of its extra features, shortly.) And, no, this is not bias talking. Even if I had absolutely no clue who Gareth and Damian were, I'd still love this film. I am certain of it! I'm making a plea to those of you who are going to see The Baker at the Ritzy today or this week, or who will get the DVD: Please go to sites like IMDB's page for The Baker, Amazon UK's page for The Baker, other movie and DVD sites, and anywhere in the blogosphere, and post reviews if you like the film -- which, no doubt, you will! This is a wonderful, hilarious, brilliant film and it deserves to be seen and enjoyed by people around the world.
