March 3, 2010: Dr. Who: Vampires In Venice should be televised in the UK and US in May, DVDs to follow later in 2010
BBC 1 television in the UK will reportedly begin presenting season 5 of Dr. Who from April 3, 2010. Dr. Who is the sixth episode of the series, so it will almost certainly be presented on May 8, 2010. Also, BBC America in the US has announced that they will begin presenting the series on April 17, meaning that Dr. Who will most likely be presented in the US on May 22, 2010. Additionally, the Dr. Who: Series 5, Volume 1 DVD featuring the first three episodes of the series is scheduled for release in the UK on July 7, 2010. Dr. Who would follow in the Dr. Who: Series 5, Volume 2 DVD; no release date has been set for it yet, but it will probably be in August 2010. As for a US DVD release, apparently the US releases are for the complete series only (rather than a few episodes at a time); odd are that the Dr. Who: The Complete Fifth Series DVD will probably be released sometime in mid-to-late 2010.
March 3, 2010: 4.3.2.1 set for DVD release in August
The previously indicated UK-cinema release date of May 7, 2010, for 4.3.2.1 is still not confirmed (although likely), and already a UK DVD release date has been announced: August 30, 2010. Also check today's site updates entry for a link to the film's trailer and a photo (from the trailer) of Helen in the film.

February 8, 2010: Site hiatus extended due to continuing computer issues

Details on updates are below.
February 8, 2010: Helen narrates two more Horizon documentries for the BBC

Fortunately for those of you in the UK, Horizon: Pill Poppers is available for online viewing within the UK here until April 7, 2010. The programme has also surfaced on YouTube, where it can be viewed worldwide. In addition, clips from both programmes are available for online viewing (and are viewable worldwide). January 16, 2010: A few details of Helen's Dr. Who episode revealed
Some information about the upcoming season of Dr. Who was recently found and shared by "misfitragdoll" and, together with Helen's message from November about Dr. Who (see news for November 9, 2009), "misfitragdoll" and I have pieced the puzzle together to determine that Helen's episode is the one entitled "Vampires In Venice", which is currently slated as episode 6 of series 5. This was the episode filmed partially in Croatia in December (which is when and where Helen had said she would be filming). Also, if you look closely at the Series 5 promo video, you can spot Helen in one of the brief scene glimpses -- also check out these images from the video. (Note: There is some discrepancy over whether the middle word of the title is "In" or "On", but since the writer's own CV shows it as "In", that is the most likely correct.)

Helen and Damian each recently donated a jacket to Camden Council in support of the Council's joint campaign with TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development) to raise awareness of the urgent need to reduce the amount of textile waste sent to landfills. As part of the campaign, Camden Council held Wardrobe Re-Vamping Workshops at the Swiss Cottage Library and Gallery on November 12, 2009, during which the clothing items donated by Helen, Damian and other celebrities were restyled and turned into high street fashion pieces and accessories. Helen's red velvet jacket has been given a military look, and Damian's denim jacket has been turned into a handbag. Now, those and other items are to be given out by the Camden Council in a prize drawing. To enter for a chance to win one of the items, entrants must pledge to do something to benefit the environment. Click here to view the items and to enter the drawing.
