There were buckets of Chardonnay at the first night of Jumpers at the Piccadilly Theatre. Cast and friends milled at the bar after watching Essie Davis and Simon Russell Beale tread the West End boards, 32 years after Diana Rigg and Michael Horden first took the same roles at the National Theatre. Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory took time out from rehearsing Joanna Laurens' Five Gold Rings at the Almeida to munch on chicken kebabs and get luvvied up until midnight.
